I purchased a super long lens a couple years ago to capture the moon. Rapidly I transitioned into putting people in front of the moon, trying to come up with themes. The image you see here is a very long story, but I will abbreviate: I put a call out on Instagram, looking for children around the age of 5 to accompany their parents on an adventure with me. I had three sets of parents confirm, we met in a parking lot, and off we went to a location I had previously scouted. I had purchased a dozen balloons from a party store, I only needed one, but hey, they pop. We arrived at the location and I explained to the kids and parents what I had in mind; capturing their kid holding a balloon as the full moon began to rise...I would be a 1/4 mile away, running franticly, reseting my tripod as the 24,000mph moon rose, communicating the entire time via radios. Each of the three kids received this image, but my favorite is before you; Harley, five years old, and was howling at the moon while I shot. I couldn't believe how vivacious she was in late hours of the night. Thank you Harley!
The image you see is great for office spaces, restaurants, health care, any retail space with a wall. My clients who purchase photos with people in them all say the same thing, "having someone in the photo allows the viewer to imagine its them, being right there, transporting their being from wherever they are to what they see in the image."
