This is a good friend Mason Lemery blasting a gigantic Method at Mt. Baker resort. I met Mason a couple years ago in Bend after he moved from Vermont. Our first day riding together told me two things about him: one, he has no fear and truly believes he can charge as hard as possible and land everything he tries. Two, he is a kind person, showing gratitude towards life in ways ahead of his years. Thank you Mason for being you.

You are viewing a very popular area at Mt. Baker with natural ‘halfpipe’ style hits for about 300yds. This run also holds the Legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom. This season (2024) I visited Mt. Baker to meet up with pros Mason, Jared Elston, Gabe Ferguson, Jonah Elston and other incredible snowboarders to shoot photos. One of the days had us going down the aforementioned area and we came to the natural hit in this photo. All the riders hit and stopped at the bottom. I asked them if they’d mined taking a couple laps while I built up the hit better with a shovel. They said no problem. Two runs later they came back and hit the new set up.  Each rider added about 10ft. to their first hits, except Mason...he blasted this enormous Method. Not to claim, but I don’t think anyone has ever gone this big in this area, ever.

The Red Jacket works well Mason.
