OPENING DAY SUNRISE

OPENINGDAYSUNRISE24X16P

My first time skiing Mt. Bachelor was 1986. I fell off a chairlift and cut my head open. 34 years later I am still riding the resort, albeit snowboarding since 1988. Here is sunrise on one of the the best Opening Days I can remember. I was in the backcountry with two professional skiers, slated to build a jump. We built the jump and as soon as we finished, the winds picked up and the jump was impossible to hit. What did we do? We packed up our gear, toured back out to our snowmobiles, and went to Mt. Bachelor.  An incredible opening day and it all started with this beautiful sunrise. For anyone who knows how exciting opening day is at their local resort, this image has all the feels of the first day of the season, plus, I just think it's a stunning image.
